Retired Police Officer Who Worked In Westchester Dies: 'Served With Distinction'

A police department in Westchester has announced the death of one of its retired members.

The death of retired Mount Vernon Police Officer Rocky Rosado was announced by the department on Friday, Feb. 2. 

In a social media post memorializing Rosado, the department wrote that he "served with distinction" from 1983 to 2011. 

The department also added that his family would hold private services in honor of him. 

His age was not released by police.
